Valve在海淀法院正式起诉《刀塔传奇》侵权

2015年5月18日，知名游戏《DOTA2》的开发商维尔福公司（“Valve”）宣布已在北京市海淀区法院起诉莉莉丝科技（上海）有限公司（“莉莉丝游戏”）和北京中清龙图网络技术有限公司（“龙图游戏”），诉其商标和版权侵权以及不正当竞争。同时，暴雪娱乐也正在加入Valve此次对莉莉丝游戏和龙图游戏的诉讼当中。

此次诉讼针对莉莉丝游戏和龙图游戏在中国发行的手机游戏《刀塔传奇》，以及围绕该游戏所推出的周边产品和营销活动。

Valve自2011年起就在全球范围内发行《DOTA2》，该游戏目前共有2000万活跃玩家，其中超过三分之一在中国。暴雪娱乐旗下游戏，包括《魔兽争霸》策略游戏系列，《魔兽世界》以及《炉石传说：魔兽英雄传》，已在中国流行近20年。

此次诉讼寻求法院判决龙图游戏与莉莉丝游戏停止侵权，赔偿损失。

此前，暴雪娱乐已针对《刀塔传奇》在台湾的发行商乐檬线上科技有限公司提出一项刑事诉讼。

VALVE FILES INFRINGEMENT CASE AGAINST LILITH GAMES AND LONGTU

May 18, 2015 -- Valve Corporation, creator of the popular Dota 2 game, announced that it has filed suit in Beijing Court of Haidian District against Lilith Games and Longtu Games for infringement of its trademark and copyrights, and for unfair competition. Blizzard Entertainment is in the process of joining Valve in the lawsuit.

The complaint relates to Dota Legend, a mobile game published by Lilith and Longtu in China, as well as its supporting merchandise and marketing.

Valve has published Dota 2 worldwide since 2011, with more than one third of its 20 million active players residing in China. Blizzard Entertainment’s games, including titles in its Warcraft㈢strategy game series, as well as World of Warcraft㈢and Hearthstone㈢: Heroes of Warcraft⑩, have been immensely popular in China for nearly 20 years.

The complaint seeks an injunction and damages.

In a related matter, Blizzard Entertainment has brought a criminal action against Lemongame TW Co., Ltd., who is the publisher of the game in Taiwan.
